[King simply hangs his head and walks away, off to put the medicine back into the bathroom. Lopmon pokes Kazuma, a bit hard on the head.]

This ain't no dream, dude. If it was, I would not have spent half an hour chasing his furry tail down so he could find you.

You don't get it...

[blanket still over his head]

He's not supposed to be real. He's an avatar from a virtual reality that I created. I controlled him. Why do you think he has MY voice?

So? He's real now. Think about how HE feels. One moment he's waiting for you to log on or whatever and the next he's here, free to do as he wants. What is the first thing he does; search for you. He's as confused as you are.

Then he probably doesn't know how to deal with this any better than I do.

[Kazuma groans, putting his hands over his head even with the blanket still covering him.]

Ohgod... I haven't logged on in weeks... Natsuki-chan is probably flipping her shit over me... I don't even want to think of how Mom and Dad are reacting...

I'm not sure about that. No one really is. But all you can do is worry about what is going on here. And you've got a six foot something bunny in the bathroom.

[At that moment, Kazma returns to the living room, sitting next to the couch. He doesn't move or speak, he just sits there.]

[Kazuma watches him return, eventually sitting up with the blanket over his head. He's already starting to feel the medication kick in and push him closer to wanting to sleep, but he feels bad about what he said.]

... sorry.

[Kazma shakes his head and looks at Kazuma with a half sad look. He understands what his Player was saying, he feels it himself. He texts his Player.]

Do not apologize Player. I understand.

[Kazuma nods slowly, leaning over on the couch until he's resting up against Kazma's arm, yawning loudly]

It's a small place... but we might be able to fit you in the room I'm staying in...

[The rabbit nods and remains still. He will be his Player's pillow.]

Sleep Player. You need rest.

[Kazuma tries to stay awake a little longer, but eventually he gives in and falls asleep, breathing softly but a little harshly thanks to his illness.

About an hour passes, and the front door opens and closes, Doumeki entering quietly. He fumbles around in the near-dark, eventually turning a light on in the kitchen.

At first he almost doesn't realize that Kazma is there as he comes in and drops some things on the counter, but it doesn't get past him for long, and he jerks his head up, freezing where he stands and staring at the giant rabbit like he might be hallucinating.]

[The large rabbit stares back at Doumeki, crimson eyes connecting with the man's. He didn't move though, not wishing to awaken his Player. So his Partner figured she'd handle the introductions.]

Hiya. I'm Lopmon and this is King Kazma. He's a friend of Kazuma's here. Well...he's more like Kazuma's avatar for this OZ place, but that's getting into the nitty gritty details.

[Doumkei raises an eyebrow (okay, not a hallucination. A tamer.) and glances at Kazuma's white Lopmon, getting a nod of confirmation. He's not entirely sure how an avatar controlled by some one else can exist, but... well... its the Digital World. Weirder things have happened.

Moro yawns loudly from his shoulder, sitting up and eying the rabbit curiously, though with a lot less skepticism than her tamer.]

Doumeki Shizuka. Did you just get here?

Yeah, he got here just today. We found Kazuma here since Kazma wanted to find him. Kazuma said we could stay here, if that's okay.

[Kazma looks down at his Player, making sure he hadn't woken up yet. It seems his only concern is his Player at the moment.]

[Doumeki scratches the back of his neck a little worriedly. Its getting crowded in there, and Watanuki is sure to have something to say about it, but he doesn't want to force Kazma to stay in another apartment when he seems so concerned about the boy.]

... yeah, we'll figure something out.

[he tilts his head, listening to the quiet for a few seconds. Even from there he can hear how labored Kazuma's breathing is. He walks over, kneeling down in front of the two and pushing Kazuma's hair out of the way, checking his temperature by hand.]

No fever. Was he coughing again?

[Kazma's eyes do not leave Doumeki as he gets close to his Player. He nods when Doumeki asks his question. He pulls out his D-Comm and texts the man.]

He was before I gave him medicine. Why is he sick?

[Doumeki sits back on his knees with a sigh]

He's had a difficult time adjusting... and my boyfriend wasn't helping at first. They've had their fair share of arguments. Kazuma-kun tried to leave at one point, without a jacket, and was outside for a long time before we found him again.

It's gotten better between them, but both him and Kimihiro got ill because of the cold.

[Kazma's eyes fall upon Kazuma again with a concerned look. It seemed he had arrived too late. He sighs silently. He will protect his Player from now on, he swears it to himself.]

[Doumeki pointedly leaves out how injured he got when they found him. Luckily his bruises have cleared up, and most evidence of it is under his clothes.

He stands, brushing his pants off.]

The couch isn't that comfortable. You'll be stuck on the floor, but we've got another travel futon you can sleep on. Kazuma-kun should be in bed anyway.

[Kazma nods and stands up, keeping a hand under his Player's head. He lifts the boy up and starts towards the hallway. He stops and looks over at Doumeki, motioning with his head towards the doors, silently asking which room was Kazuma's.]

[Doumeki opens the door to Nadeko's room. There's two futon-beds inside with proper frames, but it seems like Nadeko is once again in the one Kazuma uses.

He tries really hard not to wake her up, putting a finger to his lips so Kazma and his partner knows to keep quiet while putting Kazuma to bed.]

[Kazma's partner stays in the living room, figuring the pair will return soon enough. Besides, here she can talk with her sister.]

So, did you miss me?

[Kazma nods as he silently walks into the room and lays Kazuma down on the futon. He covers his Player with a blanket and quietly leaves the room.]

[ Nadeko, who had been sleeping lightly, stirred the moment she heard footsteps, no matter how hard they had tried to keep quiet. She rubbed at one of her eyes, blinking as they tried to focus. ]

.. Mhn?

[ she looked at where Kazuma was sleeping, snuggling up a little next to him again, ready to go back to sleep.

but something seemed off. ]

[Kazma sees the movement and stops before he completely exits the room. He turns and takes several steps towards the futon. He now looms over Nakedo and Kazuma.]

Like I'd miss a hole in the head.

[Lopmon doesn't even bother looking at her sister. Apparently that backbone also came with watching how well Kazuma is able to ignore most things.]

[Doumeki hears her, kneeling down next to the girl and doing the same fever-check on her than he had done on Kazuma. She, at least, was finally getting better and hadn't been feverish in several days. That was a good sign.

He lets her snuggle in to Kazuma before speaking to her, keeping quiet for the boy's sake.]

Nadeko-chan, a friend of Kazuma-kun's is going to be staying with us. Is it alright if he sleeps in here?

[ she's still kind of dazed from just waking up, but she hears Doumeki and rolls over onto her back to look up at him. her eyes then avert over toward the giant bunny.

and she blinks a few times.

and stares. ]

Kazma-san ..?

[ she'd seen pictures. Kazuma showed her screenshots of Kazma in battle on OZ. she nods slowly. Kazma was important to Kazuma-kun. how could she deny him space here? ]

Mhm .. Kazma-san can stay.

[ and with that, she rolled back over onto her side, seemingly unfazed by the giant bunny now with them. she snuggles back into Kazuma, trying to focus on getting back to sleep. ]
